It is important that you come prepared for your day on the water. Some tips include:

1. Get a goodnight rest. The night before your fishing trip probably isn’t the best time to howl at the moon.
2. If you or someone in your group is prone to seasickness, take Dramamine or Bomine the night before the charter and again one hour before leaving the dock. This ensures the medicine is in your bloodstream before hitting the waves. Often, taking these drugs just before leaving the dock does next to nothing.
3. Purchase your food, drinks and ice ahead of time. There is very little available near our homeport that is open at the time of our morning departures.
4. Consolidate coolers. Although it is a large, spacious boat if everyone brings his or her own cooler it can get a little crowded.

• Sun block / sun screen. Please avoid the spray on types – it turns the boat yellow and makes the decks slick.
• Sunglasses.
• Camera / cell phone with charger. There are USB ports available on the boat.
• Adequate clothing. It will be ~10° cooler on the water. Dress in layers. Having a rain jacket can save the day.
• Food, drinks and ice. Alcohol in moderation is permitted. Please consolidate coolers to save space.
• Cooler for your fish. If it is empty, please leave it in your vehicle until we return to the dock.
• Soft soled shoes. Please no cowboy boots, work boots or high heels (yes, we have seen that).

We provide all tackle and required fishing license.

Please park behind the large signs at the back of the parking lot at the Happy Harbor.

From I-495 (Virginia / D.C.)

Take exit 11A off of I-495 to RT 4 South (Pennsylvania Ave). Follow for 11 miles. Make a right onto the Deale/Bristol exit (RT 258). Follow for 5 miles thruogh the stop light. Make a right onto Rockhold Creek Rd (Parks Liquors on left). Go about 1 mile. Harbor is on the left.

From US 50/I-97 (Annapolis / Baltimore)

Take exit 24 to RT 2 South. Follow RT 2 for 14 miles. Make a left onto RT 258. Go 1 mile. Make a right onto Rockhold Creek Rd (Parks Liquors is on the left). Go 1 mile. Harbor is on the left.

From I-70/I-270 (Frederick, MD / Northwestern)

Take I-270 to I-495 Southbound, stay on I-495 South and follow to exit 11A (Pennsylvania Ave.) onto RT 4 South. Follow for 11 miles. Make a right onto Deale/Bristol exit (RT 258). Follow for 5 miles thruogh the stop light. Make a right onto Rockhold Creek Rd (Parks Liquors on left). Go about 1 mile. Harbor is on the left.
